We have to learn to separate your technical work and skill work. Technique is the motion you create to hit the ball solid and airborne.
Skill is controlling the ball and making it go where you want it to go. Curve, height, distance, are all skill. Players never work on skill. This is why they don't transfer their practice to the course.
As for the technique, you need to stick to the same principles. Know what you need to work on and build on it all the time. If you have a bad day, week, month, etc....it does not matter. You have to commit to what works for you and stick to it. You will build confidence and be able to play with less thought on the golf course. With less thought, we can react to the plan we create for the ball. This is where performance gets crazy good!
